May. 24th, 2008 05:57 amYesterday, Dad didn't need to wake Brian up as early as he usually does. He planned on coming back for him several hours into his work shift. Since I can't play anything in my own room while Brian's sleeping, I took the Playstaton2 out into the living room to play Dark Cloud 2.
Marie watched me while I was playing the game, and the following conversation ensued:
Marie: Why do you need a coin to play the game?
Me: I use coins and dice to make all kinds of decisions, but in this case, this decides whether or not I'm gonna rearrange my equipped items and weapons. (I roll some dice.) And now, I'm gonna bring along Mayor Need as my support character, but first, I gotta get my Ridepod repaired.
Marie: Your Ipod?
Me: Ridepod. (Opens the menu screen, selects "Characters", and shows Marie what it is.) This thing.
Marie: Do you make any decisions in this game?
Me: Yeah. Right now, the Finny Frenzy [fishing race] is taking place, and I'm gonna aim for some prizes.
Dad came home while I was playing, and he woke Brian up. Mom called the house while he was home and Brian was eating Breakfast, and Dad told her what was going on. He and Marie also made some comments while I was racing my fish, particularly about how I wasn't (or sometimes, was) doing very good at getting 1st place.

Later on, I went out to check my mailbox while a FedEx truck was parked on Long Island Avenue between our house and the house right across. The person making a delivery walked up to me and asked me if I knew who lives in the house in question. I told him that I don't know them, and then he asked me to sign something for that person. I did so, thinking that I was doing that person a favor, but when I got back into my own house, Marie called Mom after asking me what went on. Mom had her put me on the phone, and according to Marie, there was a sticker on that person's front door. Mom told me never to sign anything for someone else again, unless it's for her or Dad.
Later, it turned out that the package in question was actually for Mr. Sheridan, who lives one house over from that house. The box did appear on the doorstep by then, but Mom told me that it was initially placed in the bushes.
