Yesterday was the first time in years that I've split wood with an ax. We do have plenty of firewood from last winter, but the wood that I've been cutting up was from some trees that LIPA cut down the other day. It feels good to get such a workout, and I only have a handful more logs to split up.

On top of that, I also finished up volume 1 of Japanese in Mangaland yesterday.

I was about to watch episode 9 of A Little Snow Fairy Sugar yesterday, but it turned out that Disk 3 had a crack running from center to edge. I went onto the Netflix website to complain, and I was instructed to return the disk before receiving an intact copy.

Last night, I brought up something that happened nine years ago about some ice cream parlor called Snowflakes. Mom did tell me that it wasn't that much different from any Cold Stone store, but it was a one-of-a-kind store as opposed to a chain of stores. What happened back then (and I recently did record this in Chronicles of 7th Grade) was that Dad treated us to eat there because Brian won some kind of award at school. However, on the way, he made jokes that instead of the usual flavors that most ice cream parlors have, they'd have flavors such as broccoli, squash, fish, etc. On the way there, we had to stop at the library, and I put my knees up on his seat, and then he jokingly told me that I wouldn't be getting any ice cream, after having told me (lightly) several times to put my knees down. When we got there, I refused to have any ice cream, and even denied Dad's teasing me as the reason for it. Mom did tell me that she'd take me and Marie there again; this happened years and years ago, not like it was just yesterday.

That conversation led to Dad's habits of teasing me (and Marie) in general. I don't feel like discussing it in detail, but in general, it's just his way of being friendly with me. Okay, I can accept that from now on, but there will still be some instances where I'm gonna draw a line.
