Yesterday, Mom wanted to watch some clips from this multi-decade-old Disney cartoon series called Silly Symphonies. She asked Marie to turn it on, but she had no idea how to use the new DVD remote. I had to do it for her, but I joined in and watched it with them.
The first clip we watched was Funny Little Bunnies, which shows how Easter Eggs and candy are made in Easter Bunny Land. We also watched The Ugly Duckling (which I chose because of the screenshot on the DVD case), The Busy Beavers, and The Ants and the Grasshopper. Mom and Marie fell asleep by the time we were done watching the last of those, though.
I remember seeing some of these clips in general (such as the first and last mentioned) when I was little, several years before I even got my first video game. Back then, when we only had VHS, they were the kinds of cartoons that had to be placed six each on a video tape, and if you wanted to see any in particular, you had to fast-forward through any previous ones. At the time, I didn't know that they were called Silly Symphonies. I did see the title, though, but Music Land was the only one I knew to fall under the series title.
