Yesterday, Mom took us to New York City. Brian decided to work at Dad's shop, though, so he and Dad didn't come.

First, Mom had to fill the tires back up. We had to stop at three gas stations because the first two air pumps weren't working. Not much happened between then and when we got to the city, other than Marie playing different songs on her Ipod cassette, but I did suggest that she try out Archers of Loaf when we get home.

Our first destination was the Guggenheim Art Museum. We got lucky to find a parking space only one block away from it, instead of having to drive further down the road. What's unique about the museum is that the floor spirals up instead of using staircases or spreading everything out on one floor. I didn't have opinions on any of the exhibits, but I enjoyed going there nonetheless.

After that, we had to go to a Duane Reade store to buy shampoo, soap and exactly four AAA batteries, and then we ate lunch at an Indian diner. Continuing on in the car, Mom asked us why when we go to London, we're a lot more curious than when we go to NYC. I suggested that maybe it was because I've only been to London once (Mom and Marie went twice), and we've all been to New York more than a dozen times as far as I can remember.

After parking in a garage, we walked over to some video store. The TVs in that store were playing Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story, but they were all mute. Downstairs, there was more merchandise for Family Guy, along with The Simpsons and South Park stuff. In the next room, while Mom was leading Marie to the restroom, I noticed an entire shelf of anime DVDs, which I took some time to look at. They were mostly "mainstream" anime, but there were a few hentai titles here and there. Not everything was in alphabetical order, but to some extent, it was. Too bad there were no Mon Colle Knights DVDs, not that I was expecting to find any anyway.

After I got bored, I sat down on the couch with some other teens, and watched a few minutes of The Untold Story. However, I wouldn't want to spoil the entire end in case I was interested in buying it, so I continued looking around here and there. I found a Happy Bunny book in yet another room, though. It cost like $8, but I was able to read the whole thing where I was, thus saving myself some money.

Mom and Marie found me, and gave me time to finish the book, while Marie got herself a cream-filled chocolate donut. After leaving the store, we walked down some street, where people were selling paintings. I noticed some paintings of Eminem, Jennifer Lopez, 50 Cent, and a bunch of other celebrities, most of who I've never seen before. We also passed MTV studios before heading back home.

(Since it was Columbus Day yesterday, no postal activities were going to take place, which means I have to wait a day longer than I'd usually have to wait. But it's a good thing, though, because if I were to receive my game yesterday, I'd be anxious to play it right now, which is not a good time because I have school today.)
