LiveJournal didn't feel like loading yesterday, but there's not a whole lot to cover from two days ago anyway. Anyway...

The first thing I should note is, why the new avatar? Well, Monday morning, I was looking at Brian's blog, and then clicked his Friends archive (which I'm on). I found out that, for some unexplained reason, my avatar was changed to some woman that I've never even heard of. Isn't the whole point of avatars to reflect your own interests? But anyway, my old avatar was a black-and-white pic of Beginner from Mon Colle Knights, which was archived at http://fmc.animecity.nu/IconBar/MonColle/~ALL/. My new avatar is Mai Tsurugino, the main character of the Makeruna! Makendou series. More specifically, it's part of the cover art from Makeruna! Makendou Z; the whole thing can be found at http://www.c-games.info/games,002,470.html, and in case you're wondering, the other two characters are her sister Hikari (left) and their cousin Saya (middle).

Two nights ago, Marie suggested that we play ginasta, a favorite card game of Grandma's. She, me, and Mom agreed to it, but Brian didn't care to join. I played four rounds, but Dad joined the game shortly after I opted out.

I was home alone for most of the day while Dad was at work. Mom had to drive Grandma to the airport and Brian back to Ithaca. Marie came with her in case she would fall asleep. I only played Pokemon FireRed twice yesterday, but spent the rest of the day either chopping and moving wood or just walking around.

Finally, it occurred to me that Matthew once had an Atari Lynx. Once, I was at his house, and I found the console and a few of these game cards somewhere (flat like a Nintendo DS card, but at least twice as big). I only played one game (for less than a minute), which looks almost like a side-scroller, but you can actually move into the background. I don't remember what that particular game was called, or any of the other games save for Kung Food. Just recently, when I watched part one of the Angry Video Game Nerd's Batman multi-review, this was the first time he ever reviewed a Lynx game, which in this case was Batman Returns. The game card looked just like the cards I found at Matthew's house, and upon looking up Wikipedia's list of Lynx games, there was Kung Food (albeit in red, indicating either a typo or no respective Wikipedia page to link to).
