Yesterday, while I was playing Pokemon Crystal, Bug-Catcher Arnie called me and asked me to battle him, so after fighting him, I participated in the Bug-Catching Contest. I caught a level 14 Pinsir and won the contest. The funny thing is, the last time I joined contest (which was the only other time I played it since I started a new game), I failed to catch any Pokemon.
Another great thing is that my Abra evolved into a Kadabra on Routes 40 and 41, and kept leveling up by knocking off every last trainer. Three of my other current Pokemon were fainted, and he only had the support of a Geodude and a Wooper, but Kadabra is now the strongest pokemon I have, which is beneficial when I battle Chuck, and also means probably tomorrow night, I'll be able to beat the Cooltrainers on Route 34.
