Aug. 10th, 2006 09:24 amI've been to Robert Treeman Park with Mom and Marie two days ago, and I just came home yesterday. On the way there, Mom was listening to some storytape about some woman who doesn't like men because they cheat and want sex and so on. I brought the HTML For Dummies book, but never looked at it.
When we got to the campgrounds, the first thing we did was go to the water reservoir and have a dip. While we were there, we had to evacuate the water briefly so the lifeguards could check for anyone who might've gotten hurt. One person had to receive a CPR, and afterwards, one of the lifeguards had to leave sick. We were still allowed to swim, just not at the deep end near the waterfall.
Next thing: pay Brian a visit. From what I learned, he made friends with this girl named Elise, who lives in Atlanta. I asked Elise if she wanted to come to Long Island with us, and she said she has nothing to do at home, but wasn't able to come. We packed Brian's stuff into the car, but for that night, he was going to some party.
We noticed at least one rabbit on Brian's campus, and he told us that the place is full of them.

We decided to have dinner at some restaurant of my choice. My first choice was the King Buffet, but it turned out to be an oriental buffet. We came across numerous other places to eat, but I wanted something cold to eat. In this case, we stopped at some ice cream parlor, and I bought a mint ting-a-ling milkshake with M&Ms and Cookies 'n' Cream. Mom then drove us to a McDonald's drive-thru. I ordered a Quarter Pounder, but after I finished my milkshake, I was only able to eat three bites from it.
When we got back to the camp site, Marie wanted to roast marshmallows, but I declined. From what I understand, Marie only roasted one.
Not much happened yesterday, except that when we were close to home, we noticed a fire on the railroad near Long Island Avenue. A train cart was probably on fire, because when we reached LIA, we noticed a train that was just sitting there.
