Jan. 5th, 2007 05:23 amI received my player's guide yesterday, but still continued playing Dark Cloud. I might start playing Pokemon Emerald this morning, though, because Brian's sleeping right now and my bus doesn't come for another three hours.
Lauren came and visited us yesterday, and I showed her my letters of recommendation from Cathy Haack. She said that it's good if I have letters from as many people as possible if I want to enhance my chances of getting a job in the future. We also discussed ACLD, and whether or not it was worth it to continue. Let's do the math: First came the miniature golf trip. That was called off because the place we went to was closed for a private party, so we went shopping at Target, which anyone can go to anyday they want. Then, Gassho of Japan. I enjoyed going there and to Cold Stone, but the idea of going in a group was to interact with people, which I hardly did at all. Third, the Halloween party. That just sucked. Fourth was Dave & Busters. I had a good time there the first time, but since I didn't interact at all with anyone, I might as well have gone there some other day by myself. Finally, the Christmas banquet, which also sucked. Lauren did bring up that Halloween party I went to at some school in 2005, but those kinds of dances are only fun the first time around. If the whole point of this is to make friends, and Mom and Dad are paying a lot of money for these activities, then I might as well drop out of the whole program since making friends isn't anywhere to be found on my priority list. Mom didn't decide that, and I didn't say it, but that's just my personal opinion.
