I ordered a Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen player's guide off of ebay. Previously, I called GameStop to see if they were carrying one, but they said they didn't. As for the actual game, I've decided that I'm gonna wait until my driving classes end before I order one, and when I do, I'm going to buy a Nintendo DS to put it into.

Last night, I was laughing to myself about the Angry Nintendo Nerd's review video for Wally Bear and the NO! Gang. Dad's like "Wanna share it with us?" I did, and also invited him and Mom to come watch it with me. (Marie was at work at the time.) Mom had somewhere to go after dinner, so Dad came along and watched half of it with me. He told me that it's easy enough to make fun of old technology (in this case, an old NES game), but Mom later watched the whole video through with me.

Somewhere during the video, where the Nerd comments on the birds that just "dart across the screen," Mom commented that it reminded her of The Oregon Trail (a computer game I used to play when I was eight). At first, I didn't know what part of the latter game she was comparing it to, but shortly after the video ended, I remembered that it was the hunting scenes, where you have to shoot animals to keep your food supply high. (Buffalo move sluggishly and provide the most amount of meat, making every other animal a waste of time and ammo to bother shooting. It's a coincidence that I brought that part up, because the third line in the ANN theme song is "He'd rather have...a buffalo...take a diarrhea dump in his ear," even though Mom didn't notice that line.

Anyway, here's the link to that particular video...

...and be sure to see the rest of his angry reviews for other NES games.
