When Mom came home, she took me and Marie out for haircuts. We went to a new barber shop that happened to be along the way to Smith Point Beach.
After Marie was done getting her haircut, we went home for forty-five minutes to get ready to go to the beach. When we got there, Mom was the first one in the water. I went in next, and the water wasn't nearly as cold as it normally is. It felt nice and refreshing to cool off, even though the waves aren't nearly as high as they used to be.
