Yesterday, after Aunt Allison and Uncle Blas both woke up, Mom put this Saturday Night Live DVD into the DVD player for all of us to watch. I watched some clips, but not as many as Brian and some others watched. Mom's favorite clip happens to be the land-shark one, titled "Jaws II." None of us kids ever saw it before, and Mom said she had forgotten how funny it really was up until she heard it while making breakfast.

Cousin Steven and Grandpa Bob came over to visit us, and so did Scott Langur. (Speaking of which, quite by coincidence, Steven and Scott also happen to be the first names of Principal Harper and Vice Principal Guber, the two "main" characters from Boston Public.) Anyway, Steven sat on the armchair in the living room, reading some book. Marie and Scott were looking at photographs on the computer, and Aunt Allison asked them to print some in particular up for her. After they were done, I asked them if they wanted to see "some really cool game that I downloaded last night", and they accepted it. Steven by then was in the middle of a conversation, and Brian was outside polishing the footstool and the wooden chair that normally belong by the front door. I then proceeded to show Marie and Scott a level in Time Gal; I played several levels to show them how the game is played, and then let Marie and Scott give it a try each. They didn't spend very much time on it, but I wrote down the instructions for playing Sega CD or 32X ROMS for Scott, in case he wants to do so in the future.

(I did show the same game to Steven later on, but unfortunately, that moment just didn't have the novelty from when I showed it to Marie and Scott. At that time, though, we already ate dinner, and he and Aunt Allison were due to go home in less than four hours. He said it was too hard, but I copied the instructions that I wrote down for him too.)

After everyone except Scott left, Marie and Scott then decided to go to Scott's grandparents' house. I was walking around outside at the time, but when I came back in, Mom, Dad, and Brian were watching this show on CNBC called Game On! I decided to watch it and learn some stuff about the history of the video game industry. It's a one-episode show, but we noticed in the credits that it was actually first aired in 2006. Whatever any of us missed, we might be able to see whenever it airs again.

Before I went to bed, I was looking at the pics in my own DeviantArt gallery. I can remember when I posted Hikari's pic on that site, which was on August 30 this year, or, only three months ago. It was a much simpler task than any of the other pics I've worked on, since all I had to do was take a screenshot of the ending for Kendo Rage before making the desired change. Jake requested such a pic beforehand, I myself was already hoping to make the pic even before the request was made, and I made Hikari's now cone-shaped nose as big as possible. Jake thought both the nose and the visible nostril were too big, but Martin enjoyed the pic when I showed it to him after posting it. I made no attempt to decrease the nose- or nostril-size, and in fact, I would've actually made it slightly bigger, except that I didn't want the base to cover part of her eyes. (Moving her mouth down was no problem, though.) As for the convos in which I spoke about it with Jake and Martin separately, I thought I had saved those, but upon looking in my convos folder, it turned out that I actually didn't. Well, good thing I at least wrote down the gist of my convo with Jake into my blog the next morning.

I'm glad I did make a pic of Hikari to look at on DeviantArt. For some reason though, I got this feeling that just having written what I wrote of SMW2: Yoshi's Island rewritten and being able to look at Hikari on the computer screen still isn't enough. Hikari does use her nose several times throughout the fanfic, but I wish I could have her use it more often. In fact, I wish someone would create a homebrew game based on that fanfic, and it sucks that ROMhacking.net doesn't have a wishlist in its message board, unlike VGMusic or AdultFanFiction.net. I did request this morning that such a feature be made, though, so let's see if that does happen.
