Aunt Allison and Uncle Blas came over yesterday, and they brought some stuff that they got at a bakery. Originally, Mom said that it was all going to be saved for the next day, but we later ended up having it later on while watching some movie. Also, Cousin Steven was supposed to arrive here as well, but he's at his grandmother's house instead. He will be here today, though.

Marie was supposed to go on a museum tour in New York City yesterday, but in fact, she ended up spending the whole afternoon at Scott's house. Mom got stressed out over this, among other things, after Marie called to fill us in on that.

While Mom was making dinner, Allison and Blas went out somewhere (not sure where). Meanwhile, Dad was flipping through the channels, and he and I noticed a computer-generated scene from Thomas the Tank Engine on Channel 21. I called Mom to show it to her, but it turned out just to be an interlude within a regular plastic-toy-like episode. Dad continued to watch it while I went to use the bathroom, but when I came back, I asked him if he was sure he wanted to watch it. Mom said that it was relaxing to him, and I decided to watch it with him. He did get up roughly five minutes before the episode ended, but I sat and watched the rest of it.

After it ended, I decided to download this Sega CD game called Time Gal, and this time, figure out how setting up the Sega CD or Sega 32X BIOS works on Gens. First obstacle: getting the game onto my Genesis ROMs CD. That failed, so I decided instead to leave it on the hard drive. Then, I tried to eject the CD, but that didn't work, so I had to restart the computer. (This battery backup isn't nearly as responsive as our old one when I try to turn it off, and the hard drive never was either. ???) After a bit of more trouble trying to configure the BIOS on my own, I looked up the ROMNation forum for some help, and I found a website where the downloadable BIOS for both Genesis attachments are. That's right, you need to download the stuff that's required. Good thing it's not as troublesome as assembling a real Sega CD or 32X to a real Sega Genesis. And here's where you find them:

Anyway, that movie we watched when Allison and Blas got back was The Italian Job. I only watched the beginning of the movie, and decided to go to bed while the plot was still being set up. I only saw one gunfight before them, although there were several chases that took place as well.

Aunt Allison and Uncle Blas slept on the futon for the night. Since the rest of us get up earlier than they do, I was unable to type into this blog up until now. Whenever I type, it's somewhat noisy, and Mom didn't want me to wake them up. Well at least playing Time Gal was an option. (What about the sound, you ask. Don't worry, the headphones are plugged into the speaker most of the time anyway, so it's not a problem.)
