(no subject)
Nov. 26th, 2007 05:20 amAccording to KaioShin on the ROMhacking.net forum, it is possible to decipher hexadecimal in order to modify the game engine for SMW2: Yoshi's Island. However, when I asked Brian about it yesterday morning, he said that for what I'm trying to do, I might as well make my own game. Even so, I still continued looking for tutorials on hex editing, but none of them went much farther than learning how to count in hex.
That same night, I even spoke to Robjoe across MSN, and he said the same thing that Brian did. In fact, he even said that he never attempted such a massive project before, and that's basically where I dropped the subject. This was the second time I ever contacted him, but the first actual conversation I've had with him. We spoke about our Thanksgiving, what we've been doing recently, our relationships with our siblings, etc. I even invited him to read SMW2: Yoshi's Island rewritten and to view Hikari's pic, but what he said was something along the lines of "Well I will say this: people look less odd without big, coneshaped noses." That brought us to talking about the Snowboard Kids game series for a bit. I then wrapped it up by giving him the link to this blog, before saying bye and letting Marie use the computer.
Marie works at the library on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Today's a good day to come to the library and pick up some books on how to design video games and possibly how to read hexadecimal.
Now for some stuff about the Kendo Rage/Makeruna Makendou series. ( Read more... )
