My bus did come yesterday, but it turned out that the school was closed. Before leaving campus, I had to pay the busdriver an extra $3. I didn't have singles, so I gave him a ten, but he gave me back a five and two singles.

I received my SNES controllers in the mail yesterday.

While I was home, I alternated between shoveling snow off the driveway, reading one of my autism books for my Psychology research paper, reading about the Zenger Affair online, and played Knuckles Chaotix. Marie baked cookies, but mostly sat on her ass just watching TV, so at least I was more productive than her. When Mom got home, she at first just lectured me about how I need to buckle down, but then started shrieking at Marie for not doing her homework, seeking scholarships, or folding two baskets of wash the whole day. She screamed at me as well about how she expects me to put in an equivalent amount of effort into my schoolwork as she spends money on my classes.

I continued looking online for the importance of the Zenger Affair, and printed up a few pages. Mom calmed way down while I was doing that, and also while I printed some stuff up and highlighted stuff to use for an essay due Monday. While I was at it, Mom came into my room and told me that College is meant to be exhausting, and that I should treat it as a 40-hour-a-week job, instead of doing a little bit of work here and there and spending chunks of time playing games. This is why I get entire months off from school after each semester. Some kids who are also autistic... they just drop out of college in favor of low-paying jobs, and their parents perceive it as justified. Even though they might be happier with it, those jobs do nothing to improve their lives in the long run.
