Mar. 16th, 2008 05:46 amBrian was supposed to come home yesterday, but never did. If I understand correctly, he was doing something with his friends, even though Mom told him that we'd be going to Uncle Robby's the next day. And since we're going to spend most of the day in New Jersey, that only means I'll have to wait yet another day to play Makeruna! Makendou Z.
For the past week, Dad had me moving the wood pile from the greenhouse to behind the house, so that he can put some kind of foundation in the greenhouse. I got it all finished up yesterday.
Mom gave me one of my birthday presents yesterday, which was Contra IV for the Nintendo DS. Actually, I had asked for this one a week in advance, and it's now the first Contra game I legitimately own. Not only is the Contra series a favorite of the Angry Video Game Nerd, but I had also named something from Monster Collection Chronicles after this game series, Contra songs kick ass, and best of all, the levels are a huge improvement over those from Contra III: The Alien Wars and Contra: Hard Corps. All of that very much overrides the setback that Contra games are not anime-style, unlike everything from Getter Love!! and Makeruna! Makendou Z to Dark Cloud and Grandia III.
