Two days ago, Jake told me that the owner of Pokesho removed all pics that date back before 2007. I said that that was a bit wasteful since websites (supposedly) have infinite space, but Jake said that they don't. Funny, because archive sites like YouTube, DeviantArt, and Fanfiction.net are way bigger than this site.

I gave Brian a call that night to see if he had any knowledge about internet space. He said that it's not that space is limited, but that webpages are stored on hard drives, and hard drive space costs money. We also talked about what else was currently going on, such as the state of my schoolwork. He couldn't stay on for very long, though, because he was in the middle of a rush. For that reason, I couldn't even put Mom or Dad on the phone with him, though he said he'd call back later.

All things considered, I don't know if I'll have enough money to run a website for people to submit fanlyrics of video game songs to. Of course, this is exactly why a lot of websites have advertisements for things like pornography and MMORPGs. However, I'm sure I will have at least enough money to run a website with which to host Monster Collection Chronicles, and maybe Digimon Royale. (If other people write their own works to expand upon MCC, I'd be glad to read it. Will I host those fics on my website if they asked me to? No, but if they're decent, I would provide links to their works.)

Yesterday in Health, we started discussing drugs, which Dr. Boffert defined as any substance that alters the functions or feelings in a person. Two things are noteworthy from that lecture.

First of all, one type of drug, inhalants, is not limited to cocaine, tobacco, or marijuana. Things like glue and household cleaners are also included in that category, as they tend to give people a "buzz" when inhaled directly. From what she told us, things like rubber cement and scented markers have been banned from schools for that reason. I raised my hand and mentioned that Ms. Smalle, my art teacher from 6th grade, used to have this type of canned glue called rubber cream glue, which had a bad smell to it even though it was labeled as non-toxic. I had her again in 7th grade, which at that time, she had rubber cement glue (not rubber cement), which was slightly less malodorous. I never did notice anyone feeling or acting wierd from it, nor did I get any kind of sensation myself, but Dr. Boffert said that that stuff might also have been banned not too long ago.

The other thing, is that Dr. Boffert mentioned that the story Alice's Adventure in Wonderland was written by someone who was on drugs. That never did occur to me before. Well, even though the Disney film adaptation didn't have any coherent plot, I never even did keep track of plots when I was a little kid, and I never even thought about that particular movie ever since. I looked up the original book version's "plot" on Wikipedia, and later on, brought it up when me, Mom, and Marie were eating dinner.

Mom said that it's funny that they would make a children's movie out of such a screwed-up story which, from what I understand, contained some sexual and/or dark themes. That's exactly what I said in class when Dr. Boffert brought it up.

...........................................................................

While we were eating, Mom also told me that Marie said that I should publish Chronicles of 7th Grade. I told her that I had such a plan myself during 10th grade for when I finished the story. I told her that I don't want it being altered if I submit it to a publisher, but Mom said that they can't alter my works, although they could ask me to make changes, such as adding footnotes (see March 21 last month). I also understand that I'm probably gonna have to change the first names of people I knew (with exceptions being my mother's uncle Marvin, who is now deceased, and names of household pets). In that case, I could still provide links to any blog entries containing entry copies from the original document, where the real names would be used, but I do hope that I wouldn't have to change names of games, TV shows, or product brands.

I also mentioned that I finally got back to it the previous morning while I was still in the house, after having spent entire weeks dealing with my research papers and being carried away with Makeruna! Makendou Z. Mom also asked me who my teachers were in 7th Grade. I told her that they were as follow:

English/Period 1: Ms. Alfieri
Math/Period 2: Ms. Miller
Social Studies/Period 3: Ms. Darson
Science/Period 4: Ms. Tschimber (might be misspelled)
Reading/Period 6: Ms. McMann and Ms. Mancini
Tech Ed/Period 7, 1st Quarter: Mr. Barci
Music/P7, 2nd qtr: Ms. Haft
Art/P7, 3rd qtr: Ms. Smalle
Home Economics/P7, 4th qtr: Ms. Vene ("Vih-nay")
Phys Ed/Period 8, A-days: Coach O'Neal
Health/Period 8, B-days: Mr. Westberg

(I should also mention that I was also in Chorus from grades 5 through 9. Ms. Schimpf was the chorus teacher for both 6th and 7th grades. I was also in the golf club during the second half of the year, which took place on Wednesdays after school, under the supervision of Coach O'Neal.)
