Apr. 11th, 2008 07:04 amIt's sure gotten warm yesterday, enough that I was able to wear an overshirt instead of a sweatshirt.
Dad got a new washing machine yesterday. Our old one started breaking down the other day, and Mom had to go to the laundromat two days ago.
Last night after I ate dinner, I asked Mom if we could go to Old Westbury Gardens as a family this summer. I remember that we all went there with Grandma Barbara on Dad's birthday that year (which was yesterday this year), but all I was able to remember upon writing it into Chronicles of 7th Grade was seeing those really fat cherry blossom trees and eating out at some restaurant. I would prefer to remember as much as possible about that visit before I post the final version of Co7G onto this blog, and especially before I submit it somewhere to be published. Mom said that we could all go sometime when Brian is home.
If I have any comments to make upon any particular anime right now, it would be about Petite Eva. I saw a screenshot of it towards the end of that Newtype magazine I got last Christmas. Said screenshot featured super-deformed versions of Shinji, Asuka, Rei, and an Eva from Neon Genesis Evangelion doing leg lifts while laying on the grass. At first, I thought that that was some minigame to a party game, because it was so close to the games section of that magazine volume. But no, what it is is a lighthearted, computer-generated spinoff from NGE where the characters are all super-deformed and go to "NERV School." From what I've seen in the YouTube videos, there most likely isn't going to be any talking. It even said in the respective article from the NewType magazine that the person who's making it wanted it to feel kinda Tom & Jerry, where the characters are also known rarely to say anything.
