Marie and Scott took me to Dave & Buster's yesterday. When we got there, we ordered lunch before playing any games, although I did walk around to see what was available while we were waiting. I ordered a double cheeseburger, but let me tell you, they're not better than the burgers that you can get at school. I only ate half of it, especially since I already had some leftover steak at home.

After eating lunch, me and Scott played House of the Dead 4, but only spent a few continues before he decided to play some ticket games with Marie. I then went over to play Time Crisis IV, but also spent some credits on some machine where you're supposed to insert tokens to push more over the edge in exchange for tickets.

After using up the rest of my credits on Time Crisis IV, I had a look around in the prize room. Redeeming my tickets revealed that I had saved up a total of around 900 since my previous visit a year and a half ago. I was gonna buy some games, and maybe even a PSP, but the clerk told me that those things cost thousands of tickets. Good thing I'm able to save tickets right there, instead of having to stockpile them at home. Not like I'm gonna buy toys or candy with those things.

During the ride home, Marie had this gumball dispenser, and was gonna put all the gumballs in her mouth. She only put them in one at a time, but showed us how much of a gob they became once they were all in. She then took it out and threw it out the window while we were still on the Long Island Expressway, but not before Scott got into the far right lane so as to not land it on any cars. Marie then brought up some incident where Scott bet $20 to someone to put a 20-yard Fruit by the Foot in her mouth. He didn't actually have the money, but he did say that he taught her not to ever take up bets like that.

My inspiration to write Chronicles of 7th Grade has run completely dry. In fact, I don't even have any desire to play Getter Love!! right now, which had been exactly one of the factors that motivated me to write it. I've been trying to get back to it, but I was only able to write one sentence, once. I made quite a bit of progress since picking up on it half a year ago, and I only have four weeks of data left to write to it anyway, and it's probably best if I try to do all four of them when I'm re-energized. In this case, I think I'll get back to it when I'm finished playing Pokemon Pearl, which I still have enough left of to last more than a week.

Speaking of Pokemon, I also do plan on playing Ruby once I'm done with Pearl. Up until now (and until I finish Pearl), I've just been playing along, but when I get started with Ruby, I'm gonna go out of my way to write down everything that enemy trainers say before a Pokemon battle, after you win, and when you talk to them after the fight. This will be one of the most important things that I'm gonna use to expand the plot. Let's remember that fanservice is not a substitute for plot. There are lots of anime series (such as Ultimate Girls, mentioned two entries ago) that get low ratings because they focus a lot more on fanservice instead of plot or even general quality.
