Rant #8: In Grandia III, the regular battle theme on Disk 1 was really good. For whatever reason, though, Square-Enix decided to create an equivalent battle theme for Disk 2 that isn't as good. Mind you, the latter song [Who Do You Fight For] is okay, but it doesn't have that angry, determined feel to it as the former song [Attack With Conviction]. The same is true with the normal victory theme on each disk. Once again, I liked the first victory theme [Yes! We Broke Through One More Barrier] better than the second theme [Will Your Plane Crash to the Ground and Burn?]. I'm glad that all the other battle-related songs were the same on both disks, but couldn't S-E have waited to apply one song or the other to a completely different game?
Similarly, on Ghost Sweeper Mikami for the Super Famicom, there are two boss themes: One for the first four levels of the game, and the other for the last three bosses. Once again, I liked the first boss song better than the second.
Mom took me out to Patchogue River yesterday to go sailing with Dad. Not much to say about that ride.
Anyway, while I'm still playing Pokemon Pearl, it occurred to me that pics from Pokesho would be also a good way to build up the plots for my fics. I took the time last night to write down descriptions of as many as I could remember that got deleted from the website. The ones that are still up, though, aren't likely to go anywhere tomorrow, which will give me time to describe them in the document.
Previously, Jake did criticize me for only appreciating the fanservice pics on that site, and brushing the rest of them aside. However, to think of how I could piece them together to form a story is a great way to show appreciation for all of them.
Before you ask, though, no, I'm not gonna save every single pic to my computer. The only ones I do bother to save are those that I either use as templates for my own artwork or the ones that I post onto this blog.
