Aug. 5th, 2008 07:09 amYesterday, I started a post on the VGMusic forum about 2D graphics in video games. Right when I got started, Mom called to let us know that she was on her way home, and that we were gonna go out sailing. She came home not much more than a minute later, but I took my time to write up the thread.

There isn't much to say about having been on the boat, but Marie suggested that we get Slurpees when we go home. By the time we got to the car, she changed her mind, but Mom drove to a 7-11 anyway to let me get one. Since the Slurpee was only $1.29, I decided to also get a strawberry-iced donut. Mom got mad at me for this because she says that I'm consuming way too much sugar as it is. Marie then changed her mind again about getting a slurpee, and Mom drove to the next available 7-11 for her.
I should also note that during the ride home, we came to a red light, and we ended up right behind a Nascar truck. Mom told me after I asked that it's illegal to drive racecars on the road, because they're sensitive and built to drive a hundreds of miles per hour.
I couldn't have chosen a better time to write that forum thread. I got a total of seven replies when we got home. Also, this is the first time I've ever referred to Getter Love!! among other games in a VGMusic forum thread, taking quotes from the review about how the Nintendo 64 couldn't make as much use of 2D graphics as the Playstation or the Sega Saturn.
