(no subject)

Me, Mom, and Marie had a bunch of places to go yesterday. First, we had to go to Home Depot to return a toilet seat and buy a cactus, paint, and batteries. Mom was so focused on returning the toilet seat that she forgot about buying anything, but Marie bought a cactus with rather flat, floppy sections (not a typical round cactus). Next, we went to a church thrift store; not much to say there. Then, to my school, so that me and Mom could buy schoolbooks. Again, not much to say there. And finally, we went back to Home Depot to pick up what Mom forgot to pick up. I just waited in the car while Mom and Marie walked in.

Later on, I re-watched episode 8 of Ultimate Girls, and then watched the remaining four episodes in one sitting. Meanwhile, Mom went to get Chinese takeout, but by the time she came home, I couldn't eat a whole lot of it. I only ate some wan tan soup, an eggroll, and several bites of some meat on a stick.

Will Silk ever win Makoto's heart?

I'm writing this entry early because tomorrow, me, Mom, and Marie have to leave at around 7:00 A.M. for New York City, where Marie will be dropped off at Pace University.

Anyway, even though Ultimate Girls is an obscure series, I wish someone would write any fanfiction for it whatsoever. I'm not sure if I'm in outright denial about the last scene of Silk and Makoto on the rooftop, but if I think that love story between the two is inconclusive enough to leave room for fans to decide whether or not they hook up at some point after the series. Here's some points to consider:

Well, from these points, I guess it's up for debate whether or not they do become a couple. Is he denying his real feelings towards her for some obscure reason, or does he really wish to find someone else? Maybe he'll someday realize that he, in fact, does love her. But even if it is true that Makoto simply doesn't want Silk, I'm sure that if there were any writers of UG fanfiction, some of them would write something that establishes the two as a couple, while others would accept the fact that they've both moved on. Either way, though, I'll be glad to read an Ultimate Girls fanfic if anyone ever writes one.
