Rant #9: In Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, there's a million things to do between each dungeon during the first half of the game (up to the interlude between the Forest Temple and Fire Temple), but after you clear the Fire Temple, there isn't so much to do between dungeons anymore. I remember starting a new game time and time again mainly to enjoy all that stuff. Fortunately, in Majora's Mask, there's lots and lots of stuff to do throughout the game, and it's pretty much spread out evenly between dungeons. In my opinion, however, Majora's Mask just isn't such a classic game as Ocarina of Time.

Yesterday, I barely had enough time to finish my blog entry before we drove to New York City. Marie baked chocolate chip cookies the previous night, but we found out upon coming home that she forgot them.

Anyway, there isn't really a whole lot to say about driving up there. As for the actual dorm room, we had to provide Marie with her own supplies of soap, toilet paper, food, etc. She's also going to share the room with two other girls, one of which complained about a million things (which Marie shared with Mom through text-messaging).

Last night, Mom was watching this black-and-white movie on Channel 97, called Captain Courageous. I watched part of it with her, but after I left, Dad joined her for the rest of the movie.

I'm been so bored that my brain feels stiff, and I feel like the only thing that will make me feel better is if I have a good night's sleep... except that I had at least one nap today it's only 6:00 P.M.

Like I said before, though, I'm putting Pokemon FireRed aside for a while, and I don't think I'm gonna put any thought into the (currently untitled) Pokemon ficseries either.

Having nothing I want to play all day, though, sure is one hell of a bore, but it sure helps when I can barely bring myself to write one entry a day into Chronicles of 7th Grade. I'm glad at least I only have two weeks of stuff left to write to that.

Martin emailed me back the other day, and said that he has a new screenname for AIM. So far, though, I still have not been able to speak to him yet, and I'm guessing that whatever he has on mind, he's saving to discuss with me through AIM rather than through email.

Most important of all things, though, Jake sent me an email this morning, asking what the Ultimate Girls fanfic would be like. I described it, but there was one idea that I considered, but on second though, deemed "too futuristic" for a present-day anime such as UG. On third thought, though, maybe it wouldn't be such a big deal for an original character to invent something that would at some point prove vital. Such a thing has been done in other present-day fandoms, and Ghostbusters (which was released in 1984) is one of the most notable examples.

(I did tell Jake that I would describe it to him personally if he wanted me to, but Jake hasn't responded all day, and I'd just like to get it over with already.) Well, here goes:

Well, glad to have that off my chest now. Other than that, school begins tomorrow, but I'll try to continue with Chronicles of 7th Grade, even as I begin to get bogged down with unending homework assignments.
