Feb. 1st, 2009 08:03 amBrian went to New York two nights ago to visit a friend there. He still has yet to come back home.
For a brief moment yesterday, I was about to look up something on Bulbapedia, and I got a warning that accessing that site could harm our computer. I tried going onto other websites--including blatantly legitimate ones such as the library homepage and LiveJournal--and got the same message. It took roughly ten minutes before I could show Mom, since she was on the phone and then went outside to talk to Dad, but by the time she came over, it stopped happening. (Strangely enough, from what I overheard, Marie told Mom over the phone that the same thing had happened to her.)
Shortly afterwards, Marie called Mom again and told her that her friend Courtney's father died. From what I've heard, Courtney's mother has been dead for some time, so now she's an orphan. Marie was so upset that she decided to come home.
Last night, Mom, Dad, and Marie went to see this movie called The Wrestler. I declined when Marie asked me if I wanted to come.
While they were at the theater, I was in my bed playing Pokemon Emerald. I can't believe I absolutely *had* to evolve Mudkip just to get past Wattson. Wattson is a pretty hard Gym Leader, and evolving Mudkip and teaching it Mud Shot made the battle infinitely easier. However, what's ironic, is that Mudkip is the starter I chose the first time I played Emerald, and I never evolved it. (I even migrated it into Pearl while it was still Mudkip.) However, chances are, I had a Geodude with Magnitude at my disposal during my first Emerald playthrough. Well, this isn't the first time I've done something solely to accomplish something. I remember that, when I was playing Crystal in late 2006, I taught TM 07 (Zap Cannon) to Raikou so that I could paralyze Entei, hoping to prevent him from running away. (That turned out to be false, but it was a tolerable mistake.)
