Feb. 28th, 2009 05:54 amRecently, our computer has gotten a virus, and we've been getting Spybot- Search & Destroy messages and pop-up ads "up" the ass. Coinciding with this, I got an email linking to an Adultfanfiction.net forum thread about a virus that transmits itself through IM programs (most notably MSN). Brian has looked into the problem, and thankfully, has all our files backed up, but we still have yet to upgrade our firewall and do whatever else is necessary to solve the problem at hand.
I sent an email to Jake after typing yesterday's second post, telling him how I really feel about Magical Girl Control Act. At first, I consulted Mom about coming out with it (hours before I made the post), and she said that Jake might be insulted about me dissing a fic that he hasn't even started yet. However, shortly before posting, I explained the whole thing to her, and she then suggested that I in fact do get it off my chest, and then send Jake the email instead of having him find out from my blog and be surprised again. I'm not going to repeat anything that Jake said, but his response wasn't anything like what Mom predicted. In any case, I do feel better, and I told him that if he ever does write it, I might give it a read after all to see if I like it.
Anyway, I received my game yesterday, tested it, and it works and has no face glitch. Like I've said before, though, it's gonna be a while before I actually play it in depth, but to celebrate it's arrival, here's the other reason why I wrote "Nostalgia 64" on my console:

Here's what my Nintendo 64 looks like now that it's been modded. Notice anything different?
That's right. No shutters. The dustguard was what held them in place before they were all removed.

Here's the console with one of my American games. Yeah, the subtitle is a bit blurry, but for those of you who aren't familiar with N64 games or the Star Wars franchise, it says "Shadows of the Empire."
And...

Here it is with (what else?) its very first import game: Getter Love!!
