Right now, it's 10:34 P.M., but I'm still feeling wide awake. We just had a family gathering today, and I'm bound to forget some of what happened today if I wait until tomorrow morning to write this post.

So, my family and I went to New Jersey to see everyone. On our way there, we got a box of Dunkin' Donuts. Me, Brian, and Marie each had two when we got to the house.

Adam was watching Looney Tunes: Back in Action when we walked inside. He said he watched it when he was five. Me, Brian, and Marie joined him, but after a while, he decided to see what else was on. I then went upstairs to his room to do some reading, but ended up taking a nap after only two or three pages.

Aside from Adam, we also had Uncle Robby, Grandpa Bob, Aunt Allison, Grandma Ella Cousin Dennis, and Dennis's girlfriend Monique (white, even though most girls w/ her name are black).

I gave Aunt Allison the last handful of pages of Chronicles of 7th Grade, which I printed up the other day and put in a folder. Grandma asked if I made her a copy, and Aunt Allison told her it was the end. We agreed that after Aunt Allison finishes reading it, she'll send it to Grandma to make copies of.

For dinner, we had corn beef and something similar to salad, except it had cabbage instead of lettuce. For dessert, Mom and Dad brought a chocolate fudge cake and a tray of baklava. Someone brought a lemon meringue pie. I had a slice each of the cake and the pie, along with one baklava.

Cousin Dennis had his Nintendo DS at the table during dessert. I asked him what he was playing, and he told me it was some CSI game. (He never stated the subtitle.)

Adam found his own DS in his playroom. It had Super Mario 64 DS inside, and he told me it still works, though he still has yet to get a new Pokemon game for it after having broken the first copy.

We all got our pictures taken in the backyard before going home. Not much to say about that. During the way home, Dad decided to drop Marie off at Pace, since she hasn't been to thrilled about being home.

Since it turns out that Adam's DS actually does work, I decided that I am going to buy him a copy each of Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl in anticipation to his birthday this coming May. I spoke to Mom about it, and bought both games on Ebay. Both games are in English, are supposedly unplayed, and are coming from Hong Kong. Total price was $24.49, with free shipping. The plan is this:

1) Buy the games. (Check.)
2) When the games arrive, I might as well download Regigigas to both of them, if that event's still going on. (This event has started today, and I might be able to get it for myself either tomorrow when I get another flash drive, or Wednesday when I go see Dr. Perret.)
3) When I get Pokemon Platinum, start the game, and pick a starter Pokemon.
4) With the other two games, start the game, and pick whichever starters I didn't choose for Platinum.
5) With my copy of Pearl, dig up some Armor fossils to be resurrected and traded.
6) On Adam's birthday, give him the gift games, and ask that he help you with trading. From one of the two games, trade both the starter Pokemon and the event Regigigas onto my Pearl copy. With the other game, just trade the starter. That way, he'll have an event Regigigas in case he gets Platinum, and I'll have a spare one in case he deletes that one. Whichever game Regigigas was traded from can be safely restarted w/o deleting the event-only Pokemon.
7) Shaymin can wait until next time. It's a Level 50 Pokemon obtained from an event, which means that it won't obey me until I have enough badges.

Or, since Taylor passes right by me when I'm waiting in the hall for my Marketing class to start, I could ask him instead to bring his DS and help me with all this, once I have Pokemon Platinum. Still, I already bought these games for Adam, and if he's more on the ball, we could still have some fun playing capture the flag. Plus, there's the aforementioned possibility of me getting the event Regigigas for him.
