Chronicles of 7th Grade: Winter Recess
Jul. 4th, 2009 06:41 amFor the week being posted for Co7G today, me and the other kids had off from school. Not a whole lot to say about the first few days, but on Thursday, Marie's friend Lauren ate dinner with us and slept over. Friday was just Lauren going home, and later on, me briefly visiting Daniel. Saturday will be reserved for tomorrow.

During the upcoming entries of Co7G, I did play Super Mario RPG, but not nearly as much as I would during the following summer. So for now, I'm not gonna be playing anything rostered until further notice.
Back to the present.
I completed Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past yesterday, this time with all twenty-four Pieces of Heart in the game. I also looked at my watch, which read 12:42 when I got started, and it took a total of 6 hours and 13 minutes to complete (plus ten more minutes for the Triforce cutscene and the entire credits).
Let me tell you, that game brings back so many memories, not only from 7th grade, but also from 5th grade and mid-9th grade. Also gotta love those nice 16-bit graphics and sound effects, but other than that, words just cannot describe how nice it feels to be playing through this game. I especially like the stuff from the earlier parts of the game, where you're in the Light World most of the time. Somehow, this game, as well as Ocarina of Time and the two NES games, feels more like a Middle Ages game than did Majora's Mask. This game series is indeed classic!

Phyllis had already left the apartment the other day, and she had left us a TV set and an air conditioner. Mom, however, hadn't taken the time to bring those two things down yet.
Brian's Cornell friends Joe and Fred came over while I was playing Zelda. They bought a pizza from La Marguerita for dinner. Brian and Joe were doing something with their laptops, but Fred was watching some biography about Michael Jackson on TV.
While I was walking around outside after beating the game, I noticed Mabel with a baby rabbit in her mouth. I picked her up and brought her into the house. Mom then picked her up, and I overheard her baby-talking to her, and told her what she did. We went outside, it suddenly started raining, but Mom noticed that it wasn't raining as far as the end of the driveway, let alone across the street, and we waited the rain out inside the garage before checking on the bunny. As it turned out, the thing died, even though it seemed to be catching its breath after being freed. Mom had me get a shovel and dig up a small hole to put it in.
