Aug. 20th, 2009 05:07 amDad has finished fixing my room up, and we got my bunk bed and my new TV moved into it. All my stuff that was up in the apartment until yesterday is in the basement. The base of that TV set sure is fragile, though, and pieces of it chipped off as we were bringing it down and when we set it down on the floor. We also have yet to install the air conditioner, but of course, Mom doesn't want anything touching the windowsill right now, so that's probably not an option.

Four rounds yesterday.
Round 1: Fairly straightforward playthrough with Ayumi. Got the rain event again, and as it turns out, the mint-something is her present that she gives to you. At some point, I chased her around, consulting Kaoru several times for her whereabouts, so that I could give her a present, but I forgot that I had a Present card which could've saved me some time.
Round 2: Got the ball rolling right away with Meifa, and it was all uphill from there. She even treated me to her very own cooking while I met up with her at China Hao Hao. Instead of just confessing my love to her, I continued building up my relationship with her by buying her a present and using a freebie Angel Pankichi card that I got from Alfonso. For the whole playthrough, I thought that I was ever so close to getting the Love Love ending, but then someone won the game with Makoto.
Round 3: Today's girl of choice is Hana. Nothing too special happened. In the end, right before someone won that round, I declared my love to her, but this time, her response was neither positive nor negative.
Let me tell you, if you wanna really win, you gotta be the biggest asshole you can be! Cause that's what this game is: An asshole game! That means, spend a good amount of time buying items that can really fuck up your rivals' relationships, and use them on whoever's got a good one going.
Round 4: Barely a minute (not even) passed between last round and this one. Girl of choice today was Makoto, but try as I might, I couldn't really build much of a relationship with her. Part of that is my fault, for going out of my way to cancel someone's beach date with Meifa (and failing to do so). In general, though, I was lagging behind my opponents so much that I spent more time trying to drag them down than actually talking to Makoto. Even if Reika gets one of them, if more than one rival has a decent relationship with someone, someone's bound to take the win.
