Three rounds yesterday.
Round 1: Makoto is my girl today.
Honestly, is it any coincidence that whenever I fuck up someone's date, Alfonso announces an "event" to take place at that person's house? At one time during the game, I used a Battle card to break up one of Daisuke's dates with Ayumi, and the other two rivals drained his Youshi and used a Geri card on him. The following turn, Alfonso announced an event taking place at his house, in which any girls he knows march to his house. Thanks to that Geri card, he wasn't able to recover his own Youshi, but along comes Ayumi after the other girls to recover it for him. (Best way to really fuck someone up, is with a Reika Ageru card... which only works if the Hose Beast is getting on your case!)
What the fuck?
If I could compare this to anything, it would be Gabe's rant about Mario Party 8. He actually seems to be ranting about the Mario Party series in general, but his gripe is that the game looks for any reason to give players stars.
Back to the game. Guess who won? You guessed it: Daisuke.
Round 2: Makoto again. Yeah, I had a few setbacks here and there, but if you ask me, there was no excuse for her to have rejected me. My Youshi and Tairyoku were more than half full, she had a huge heart for me on the chart, there was just no fucking excuse! This game just bullshits you.
Following that incident, Chikashi is also competing for Makoto, who has just slightly more affection for him than for me. Needless to say, he won.
Round 3: Started with Meifa, but didn't exactly get along with her. Two dates in a row, I misanswered her questions, and after the second of those two, she fucking PUNCHED me! I only set up one more date with her, but then switched over to Makoto, who had been calling me more often. (Sorry, bitch! I don't date violent girls like you!)
So anyway, upon talking to Makoto, I invited her out to the beach the following morning, something which I would've saved for Meifa if she hadn't been such an asshole. So, I did decently with her. However, I later got my hands on the Shrine Date card, but would've invited her to the Shinto Shrine if I hadn't kept losing hearts for so many consecutive turns afterwards. I even lost, like, ten hearts one time for no reason whatsoever. Both my energy bars were more than half full, and she didn't even ask me anything. What was THAT all about?
The winner is: Daisuke, with Shizuku.
Fuck this game! I got more important things to do, like updating the Retro Savior document and brushing up on my Japanese skills.
And yet...
I'm still gonna be compelled to play the game again. Especially what with a lack of further convo material to share with Jake, even yet more so with him being too stressed out to talk about anything that we usually talk about.
I'm actually glad school will be starting in two days.
