Sep. 7th, 2009 08:00 amMom and Dad had me help them move their bed mattress out into the office, so that Dad can install a new window. They never said whether or not Dad was gonna work on the room itself like he did with my bedroom. However, until the mattress gets moved back in, I'm gonna have to wait for them to get up each morning before typing my blog entries.

Getter Love.
Two rounds yesterday. Let me tell you, that game is really pissing me off already.
Round 1: In just three rounds, Sesshuu was ahead of everyone with Hana. Chikashi and Daisuke were fighting over Ayumi, Meifa, and Makoto. I, meanwhile, could barely even get Kiiro out on a date. No one even gave a damn about her! I once drained one of Sesshuu's energy bars after he set a date for three turns ahead, and the result was that he stayed home and Hana helped him recover. Before Day 7, he already had more than enough Love Love points for a win.
At that point, it's a lost cause. Best to turn the game off and spare myself the aggravation.
Round 2: My first date was with Nakayoshi girl Hana, and Natsuki was also there with her. After that, though, I switched over to Meifa, so as to get ahead while the other boys fight over Hana. Daisuke bought the Beach Date card at Panda Park, but then got caught by the Hose Beast. That means he couldn't have used it, and several turns later, after I bought a Battle card at the Information Center, Chikashi challenged him to a match, took his card, and invited Hana out with it. One turn later, I used my Battle Card, and challenged Daisuke with it, forgetting that he had the card stolen.
I did get my hands on the Shrine Date card, though, and invited Meifa out with it. Upon meeting her at the school first, she held a fan with Pankichi's face on it. Her event depicts her holding a trophy and some yen bills in one hand, and making Super Mario's trademark "peace" sign with the other.
Now that both date cards were used up, I would've confessed my love to Meifa after just a few more dates. That is, if I didn't answer one question so wrongly that I lost all affection from her. That was right before Day 7 was up, after Alfonso showed us the game statistics and then A Word From Our Sponsors. When you see a rage symbol having replaced the only big-ass heart you had, you're pretty much skrewed!
Time to chill out!
No, this isn't the end of the Getter Love!! era. I don't want it to end on such a bad note. Today's the last day of summer vacation, and I'm just gonna have a week-long break from the game, during which I will spend my spare time romanizing my MMZ transcript and re-reading my Japanese in Mangaland books. I was barely even able to make sense of any Topics I unlocked, but a real translation of those can wait until the grand finale.
When I come back with my Japanese skills refreshed, I might actually go out of my way to figure out what anyone says during my dates while I'm playing the game. I can remember one time Makoto once saying that she stopped along the way to play with some alleycat, which would probably be the same cat that either steals or drops item cards each time you run into it. If I can actually figure out what anyone says, it might just spice the game up a little.
