May. 7th, 2010 06:57 amWent with Mom to Brooklyn to pick up Marie and Jacob yesterday. Nothing too important to note about the trip there, but Marie bought lunch for me and Mom before we got there. I asked for a salt bagel and Yoo-Hoo, and Mom just wanted some iced tea. Marie got me a Snapple instead, because there were no Yoo-Hoos available.
We had to make a few stops on the way home. First, to Dad's workshop. Not much to note there. Then, to get Marie's blood drawn. Again, nothing important to note.
Upon coming home, Mom and Marie went to get a pedicure, and Jacob stayed home with me. However, they came home to come get Jacob before getting haircuts and buying flowers.

Been feeling inclined to start a new game in Earthbound. Earthbound Zero was a fun game, but not as much fun as Earthbound. I might come back to that game at some point and pick up where I left off.
Turns out that my Super NES is likely dead. Whenever I turn it on, the light goes on, but no image is displayed, no matter what I do. I tried both the SNES and the Nintendo 64 in the living room, and the N64 works just fine on our main TV. I tried various other games on the SNES, to no avail; tried unscrewing the console and dusting it, again, to no avail. So the problem is with either the console or the plug.
Looked around on Ebay for the currently cheapest auctions I could find. Saved a total of nine deals to my watchlist.
Later on, I looked around to see if maybe there are people who repair old game consoles. Found a service called Old School Gamer, looked up its reputation on Google, and no one seems to have said anything negative about it. It even has a policy saying that it won't charge money for any failed repair attempts.
