Had my first Japanese class for this fall yesterday. Not much to say about the class itself, but I did bring up my translation project with Natsue at the end of class. Even though Kenji never got around to translating anything when I was seeing him, Natsue said that this might actually be a good way to promote my Japanese skills.

While I headed back to the parking lot, Mom called me from somewhere else, and suggested that we have a bit of a walk around campus. While we explored the place, we saw this sort of water fountain which stretches up and down one of the staircases and has the water cascade about a foot down roughly each yard. We also went into the Wang Center, where there were such places as a gift shop and an eatery. Inside the entrance is also a pair of fountains, each with six stone animal heads (each representing an Asian country) from which the water would normally come out (it was turned off).

Upon coming home, Mom missed the turn towards the Long Island Expressway, and upon realizing, decided to do some shopping at Costco and stop at Dad's workshop to feed the stray cats there.

(I never bothered bring my PokeWalker to my Japanese classes when I was seeing Kenji, because back then, we usually just went there, dropped me off, and then went right back home after class was over. This would have been a good time to bring the Walker, if I had anticipated making these sidestops, except that I would've hardly even had time to choose a Pokemon and a route before leaving the house. Hell, I forgot my cell phone and my watch, and only got my wallet, before we left.)
