Dec. 27th, 2008 08:25 amI ordered Whacked! on Ebay, and won it for $5.85. What's even better, is that it's coming from Rhode Island, which is pretty close to Long Island. That means less waiting time, and less carbon emissions from a delivery trip.
I also watched the first episode of School Rumble yesterday. Nothing to say about that, actually, but it was pretty good.
My PC-FX arrived, but I decided to wait until everyone was home before I opened it. Getting that thing would be one of the most special moments in my gaming life, and it would've been rather lonely to just open it up without anyone to watch. So, I waited until after dinner, and everyone was home by then except for Marie (who was out with Scott).
Well, there's the console, so next was hooking it up. And, as it turns out, it doesn't work on my TV. Mom looked into the problem with me, and Brian tried to get it to work on the living room TV, and... it actually did work on that one. At first, we thought it had something to do with the jacks, but even using different jacks didn't enable it to play on my TV.
Actually, this is not the first time this has happened. Matthew's Xbox required the main TV set when I borrowed it from him five years ago, and so did that all-region DVD player I bought a year later. So, it looks like that my bedroom TV requires radio frequency to read anything. I told Mom that this would be a problem when school continues, because Dad watches TV most of the time whenever I'm home, but she said that we'll work something out.
Finally, trying to hook up that Xbox again reveals that Brian did indeed get a plug with the console, but it's the wrong one. But, we might be able to get the right one from Radio Shack or on Ebay.
