The entire past week has consisted of disappointments.

Sent a PM to Melissa on Sunday, only to hear back from her on Thursday morning, and still have yet to hear from her again.

Sent requests to a total of nine different people on DeviantArt for the Sailor Moon and Lucky Star girls w/ their hair updone, ultimately ended up successful with only two of them; one of them is charging me 8,000 points for the Lucky Star pic alone, but there was a period where there should've been a comma, so I thought they said eight points, so I've settled for a sketch from him (since I already gave him 2,000 points). The other one has agreed to do both pics in exchange for money, along with Sarah. He told me last night that he could show me his work so far once he comes home from school, but I still have yet to receive anything from him.

In any case, it's still just 7:25 in the morning, and they're probably still asleep, but since it's Saturday, I might hope to receive some stuff fairly early, with school out of the way for them.

Oh, and our family gathering has been postponed again due to a snowstorm where Aunt Allison lives.

With everything just pissing me off all week long, Mom proposed chipping in for a new game with me, just to give me something to do. Actually, I have a whole bunch of DVDs to watch already, plus that Zits compilation book and the first three Read Or Die manga volumes, but I've been actively refraining from them because I've got an entire essay to write for when I continue my Japanese class this coming spring. Somehow, though, I had found myself unable to focus after a certain point yesterday.

Anyway, I came with Mom to the library and the shopping center after she got home yesterday, just for a change in pace. Got a couple of MAD Magazines at the library, but that's all worth noting there. Had a look at DS games in GameStop while she went foodshopping.

Even when I narrow my choices down to anime-style games, though, there are still quite a handful to choose from. I remember asking Mom specifically for Ontamarama in May 2008, but that was just something I read about from a Newtype magazine (which focuses a lot more on anime than on games), and I wanted something other than Contra IV at the time. In this situation, I don't really have my mind set on anything in particular, and it's not likely going to be an issue for very long.

(For the record, though, I might weed out anything that's Izuna, given how the titular character treats a certain male character, and also given the fact that you're forced to lose everything you have on you if you die.)

Anyway, after I decided I've looked around enough, I went into Stop 'N' Shop to meet Mom, and saw her at the checkout lane talking with someone. She told me that that person was Mrs. Berkowitz from Charles E. Walters, who remembers me from 5th grade even though I don't remember her. She remembers the fact that I used to be accompanied by Mrs. Bandows at the time, and Mom told her that she had been with me up until late 8th grade. According to her, aides are not allowed to accompany any given student for more than two years, because those who hire them are concerned about too much of a relationship forming between them and their students.
