Jan. 31st, 2011 05:23 amHad a few errands to run with Mom yesterday. Went to Costco; nothing special. Then, Mom dropped me off at Toys 'R' Us so I could download Pikachu onto my Pokemon games while she went somewhere to donate some pairs of eyeglasses. (In Pearl, I also had to Fly to Jubilife City, since I was in Veilstone City from several weeks ago and the deliveryman doesn't appear in the department store.) I happened to leave the store right at the same time that she came back. And finally, to Dad's shop to feed the backyard cats.
Later on, even though none of my games had a double-5 rolled for Pikachu, I did evolve the one in Pearl into Raichu. Let's see: Six Thunderstones still in my inventory, no moves left for Pikachu to learn by level 50, there you go! While I was at it, I also deleted my Wonder Cards before loading the actual game, and took an opportunity to run into Mesprit on Route 202. (Used a Quick Ball, it rolled three times, and failed.)

Turns out that the Lucky Star OAV never got dubbed. There are some fandubs, but only one of them is complete (which was taken through a video camera and is voiced by one person, who didn't even bother modifying her voice), and only one other (which only has Volleyball Match and MMORPG) matches the official voices.
Anyway, I guess I might as well just watch the OAV anyway, seeing that it only runs for a one-shot 43 minutes. I could just watch it this morning, and then mail it back, and right now, I don't even have anything in my Netflix queue that's actually available right now.
