Feb. 17th, 2011 06:56 amFrom what I've been told, Dad's been working at someone's house who has one two-year-old boy and one nine-month-old girl. It's been stressful for him, what with them doing things like stealing his tools, but good that he at least has work now.
Received disk 1 of Burn Up Scramble yesterday. Found out later, when I tried to watch an episode, that it had a crack in it. Dad came home right after I discovered said crack anyway, so he probably wouldn't have wanted to hear it in the background. (Speaking of Netflix, I was also told that disk 2 of Karin was gonna be shipped to me from somewhere else and would take longer than usual to arrive.)
Showed Mom and auction for a club-shaped cutter when she got home. It was copper instead of aluminum, but the texture did match those of the three cutters that we do have. I placed a bid on it half an hour before it ended, and then passed the time by watching a DVD episode of The Big Bang Theory with Mom and Dad. Won it for $.99, plus $2.75 for shipping, and Mom agreed to pay for it. She still has yet to sign onto PayPal for me, so I'll bring it up again when she comes home from work today.
Dad might have to fix the outlet in the bathroom sometime soon. Yesterday morning, the lights went out when Mom tried to turn on her blowdryer, so she had to dry her hair in the kitchen. Later on, Dad had to disable the power in the bathroom, and we had to light a candle for it. Even that wouldn't have been enough light for me to have a shower, so I went up into the apartment to do so, only to find out that the hot water for that had been turned off for a while.
(Not long afterwards, Mom somehow managed to restore the electricity to the bathroom while Dad went outside to do something. I thought he was gonna look at the apartment bathroom, but he told me he didn't go up there.)
