Mar. 14th, 2011 07:42 amI had no reason to expect it, but zefibutt has given me my points back last Friday. I've also been put back on nanashi-no's commission list.
Went down to Bellport with Mom right after getting my points back. She looked around at the thrift store, and then we went for a walk. While we were at it, we walked down to the bay, and could see Fire Island across the water.

This past Friday, I thought I might play Knuckles Chaotix* on Gens, but, oh, of course, our computer doesn't exactly run smoothly when we watch videos. I closed Gens after, like, less than a minute. With the computer running the way it's been for at least the past couple of months, trying to play anything on an emulator would be like trying to watch something on a scratched DVD. Fuck it!
(Before you ask, this is the same copy I downloaded on New Year's 2008, and remains the only 32X game I have ever downloaded even to this day.)
Most videos are at least decently watchable on our computer, but there are some I've been watching on my laptop for this very reason, such as AVGN videos or episode 2 of Pani Poni Dash (particularly four minutes in, where Himeko's mouth is supposed to move extremely fast). Also, while most ROMs should be playable on a Mac with the right emulator, there is no MacIntosh version of Xe, which is the emulator I've been trying to run Chip-chan Kick on, and also the only one that will supposedly display the faces in Getter Love!! (that is, if N64 emulation ever gets completed for it.)
So, Mom has tried defragmenting the computer and deleting the history, but to no avail. Brian doesn't even have any idea what to do, so we're gonna have to wait till he comes home to look into it.
(Speaking of which, I also need to bring up the issue of Winzip or Winrar with him when he does come home. Jake has recently sent me something he would like me to translate, but I'm unable to open it right now because I don't have either program required.)

Sent a commission offer to Point Commissioners last Saturday at noon, and still have yet to hear back from them. Usually, the group owner gets back to me within the same day. She hasn't so far. I just sent a second note last night, and discovered this morning that she even replied to a comment by someone else roughly one hour before I sent it, which seems to indicate that she ignored me entirely.
For the record, I do remember sending a second note when I made my Sailor Moon/Lucky Star offer to her. However, that would probably be due to communications between myself and the group owner not being archived with regular notes, so I had reason to believe that I failed to send the first copy then. However, it's already been two days, and I still have yet to get any kind of response.
Gotta wonder if this has ever been the case with Chelle, who runs a Mon Colle Knights group on deviantArt. As in, how many days could pass between someone submitting a pic, she actually accepting (or rejecting) it, and whether or not she ever communicates with anyone else through that group during said time. I'm sure she would never outright ignore anyone, but could this be the case between me and OoRaimaeO? (I doubt it has anything to do with the content either, because she did allow me to request promotional artwork for Parasitic Trio, and that request is even currently still up.)
(For now, maybe I'll wait until either I receive both Milfeulle and Vanilla's final drafts or until Rai updates the group blog, before I contact her yet again.)

Natsue's laptop has not been working, so I offered last week to bring my own in to go over some MMZ clips.
Turned out yesterday morning (before we left for class) that my MMZ clips have disappeared from both the hard drive and my flash drive. At least I still have both MM2 omakes and the OAV still on the latter.
Gonna have to download everything I have off of YouTube sometime this week.
