May. 15th, 2011 05:59 amSo, I managed to put the MMZ epilogue into a .zip file, I tried re-submitting it, and the site only asked me to fill out the information again. Tried calling them on the phone, only to find out that they're only available to talk on weekdays. Looked around a bit for other translation sites. One of them charges 14 cents per word, and another charges ten cents per Japanese character.
Given that I still don't have a job, that I'm already spending quite enough of what I do have on gaming stuff, and most of what seems to "grow" in my bank account is really just my school loans, I've decided that I'm gonna start doing commissions for money. Joined Anime Commissions, but still have yet to be archived. Does help that I've gotten rid of everything that I created with Paint, since having all those pics up wouldn't exactly leave a good impression on potential customers about quality.

Anyway, Mom says that the aforementioned price rates are way too much to be spending on translations. She did suggest that I ask around on a forum instead, and I decided to ask on ROMhacking.net. Still have yet to hear from someone.
For the record, I still do intend to continue with ReadJapaneseFast. Actually learning the language is the only way I'll ever be able to read any text in Getter Love!! without having to consult the dictionaries. However, I just want to get Makeruna! Makendou Z over with as soon as possible (including the text-only dialogue), so that Jake can write the Yoshi's Island fic without deviating too much from canon.
(Speaking of which, I should note that, as Cameron pointed out some time ago, Mai does not have the sense of humor that she was given in Kendo Rage and exhibited in my version of the fic, nor does she enjoy being a magical girl or care about fighting evil. Major difference between her real self and the "Josephine"-based version I portrayed her as in my fic, and was also made clear and stated outright at the beginning of the OAV.)
