Sep. 17th, 2011 08:09 amWent to a meeting at ACCES (formerly VESID) with Mom to discuss the unsatisfactory services that DDI had been providing for me. Mom had to stop at the hospital first on the way there to tie up some loose ends from the day before. We also got a call from Dad telling Mom that his van broke down at the boatyard, and he had no choice but to walk back to the shop. Talk about bad timing for something like that to happen.
Not much to say about the meeting itself, but Jaymes, who hadn't once come to see me since the first time, did attend, along with this black lady Maritza (not sure if I mentioned her before, but I did meet see her at least twice before). However, upon reaching the New York State Office Building where it was held, we realized that it was the same building where I had my DHS interview a few weeks ago.
Originally, we were gonna stop at the bank on the way home, but with the situation Dad was in, Mom had to go straight home to drop me off and fix up some sandwiches, before meeting Dad in Patchogue to help him.

Grandpa Bob had come over yesterday to spend the weekend here, and brought a fudge brownie for me and a bag of fancy cookies for everyone. I had a quarter of the brownie for a snack, and we all had some cookies some time after dinner.
While I was washing the dishes after dinner, he was in the dining room speaking to Mom. I overheard him talk about someone who died of a heart attack in the elevator when he told his comatose wife that he's abandoning her and taking all her money with him. Karmic!

A funny coincidence while I was playing Pokemon Diamond yesterday: I came over to Route 222, and used the PokeRadar to hunt a Flaafy. First wild Pokemon I encountered was a Skitty, which is said only to appear there when a swarm is announced. That was lucky, because I didn't even visit Sandgem Town first to speak to Dawn's sister. Good thing the next Pokemon I encountered was a Chatot, which ended the Radar session, because it turns out that I already have Flaafy's basic form Mareep. But then again, Pokemon you can only encounter with the PokeRadar are harder to come across even then anyway.
