Mar. 18th, 2012 08:02 amLast night, we heard some kind of rumbling noise down Long Island Avenue. The three of us went outside to see what was going on, and there was smoke billowing only a few blocks down. Mom asked Dad if a plane might have crashed, and Dad suggested that maybe something was going on at a power plant that I hadn't been aware existed until then. Mom then asked if we should go down to take a look, and Dad told us to stay away from the situation.
Mom then had me turn on News12, but being something that had only started happening, there was no coverage of it. Meanwhile, the noise broke out every now and again, and we never found out what was going on.

Saw Venus and Jupiter near each other above the trees last night, from where we were watching at the end of the driveway. From what Mom gathers, Saturn is also supposed to appear near the sun sometime this or next month, so we should have a look at that as well whenever it happens.
