Marie's graduation ceremony took place under some kind of canvas, similar to a circus tent, rather than out in the open or inside a building. My parents and I met up with Grandma Ella, Aunt Marie, Grandpa Bob, Grandma Ella, Uncle Robby, Cousin Adam, Brian, Marie's boyfriend Jacob, and Marie's roomate Bethany, to watch the whole thing.

After it ended, not sure what Mom and Dad had to do, but me, Brian, Marie, Jacob, and Bethany had to take a bus somewhere and then walk some distance to regroup with them at a restaurant called Legal Seafood to eat lunch at. While we were walking, Brian asked me what the last anime I've watched was. I told him it was Nichijou, about all kinds of wacky hijinx between a few high school girls and also this 8-year-old scientist girl who lives with a gynoid she created and a cat she finds at some point.

That said, here are:

I ordered some grilled shrimp and white rice for my meal. While we were there, we talked about all kinds of things. However, one thing particularly worth noting is that Aunt Marie told us that the County Fair in Virginia had gone out of business since only last year. Dad said that it's a good thing we went there with her, Uncle Ray, and Grandma Barbara (don't remember if Cousin David was with us) that one time in September 2004 (which doubles as the very first month of my college era).

(This goes to show that even businesses that seemingly will go on forever, such as Nintendo and DeviantArt, will eventually go out of business one day. Such was exactly what was assumed about Atari until the Video Game Market Crash of 1983. However, from what I've just googled, there are other county fairs being held elsewhere in Virginia this year.)

After we all finished eating, we all went to a nearby park with some kind of pond, river, whatever. Mostly just hung around and got our pictures taken. Some guy was playing this kind of Chinese fiddle called an erhu; Mom gave her some paper money (probably one or two dollars, though I didn't care to check, so it could've just as easily been a five), and I gave him 42 cents that I found on the floor back at the graduation tent. We also saw various kinds of cute little dogs, and also ducks (including one duckling apparently separated from its mother).

After we all split up to return to our respective hotels, Dad led me, Mom, Brian, and Marie to some antique store to look at things like chairs, books (inside plexiglas cases), and several grandfather clocks. He didn't actually buy anything, just went there to have a look around. Afterwards, Brian and Marie went back to Marie's dorm, and my parents and I took a taxi back to where our car was.

We all fell right asleep when we got back to the hotel. Didn't bother eating dinner, because lunch (which also included dessert) was already more than enough to get us even through the evening.
