Jun. 14th, 2012 06:12 amLast night at the gym, I noticed someone wearing a t-shirt that said "Clam Power", complete with a design of a clam with eyes and legs. I went up to him and told him that my grandpa also has a shirt with all that on it. He told me he got it from Fire Island.
When we got home, I told Grandpa Bob about it, and he said that it's been available on Long Island since 1971, although what he has is a hoodie. He let me keep it, and it turned out to be a perfect fit. He did tell me to make sure I turn it inside out each time I throw it down to get washed, so that the design stays intact.
