Watched episode 1 of Air yesterday morning. Pretty good so far, but I'm not sure if I feel inclined to watch more, though. Noticed something for a weekly survey inside the case while I was putting the disk back in, and decided to take it online in hopes of being picked to win a free DVD.

Started vacuuming the kitchen afterwards, and it turns out that Mom and Dad actually had come home, and had gone back to bed, when Mom came out and asked me to turn the vacuum off.

Watched part of an episode of Ultra Maniac afterwards, but turned it off at the part where some guy eats a magical chocolate, falls in love with Ayu, and makes a point of telling her right away.

Having just been unable to sleep any longer tonight, I just woke up and thought I might watch an episode of Doki Doki School Hours. Turns out the disk is cracked near the center, so I'm gonna have to return it. Good thing I still have the receipt, and that I got those DVDs only two days ago, and while I'm at it, I think I might as well return Ultra Maniac as well.

What a damn day today... Writing this early, because I just don't feel like doing anything else at the moment, after all that's happened so far today.

1) Right after typing up this morning's entry (which was around 3 A.M.), I paid to download the Windows version of Angry Birds. (Yes, you read right. The Chrome version, despite having content not available in any other version, has become increasingly spoilerific since I started playing the game last November.) Played through the first set of levels in Poached Eggs, but couldn't go any further, because I needed to enter an activation key. Couldn't find it at the store, and something seemed to suggest that I was supposed to play the demo version first. I sent an email asking if that was true, but eventually did get the code at 11:23.

2) After having sent said email, I took to finally downloading Grand Fantasia. Now, this is fairly minor compared to the other stuff I'm describing, but as it turns out, the beehive is not an actual hairstyle option when customizing your character. I asked on the forum, and someone posted a copy of the image that depicted it (which I couldn't find myself, and thus had to link to the original Beehive Brigade pic for similarity), and confirmed that it isn't, as far as they know. Another person cleared things up once and for all, and said that it actually is common for advertisers to use concept art when promoting their games, even if it never actually becomes canon, but also suggested that I just play it for what it is. Probably will at some point, when I'm not playing or doing anything else.

3) Again, no big deal, but I noticed that Brian left behind a few of the games I compiled for him to play on our Playstation 2. Mom just explained to me moments ago that he didn't have room for all of them, and decided only to take the ones he'd likely be more interested in playing. (Guess I'll let him take the rest of them to school when he comes home for the holidays and then goes back.)

4) Got my second PS2, and it turns out that it is missing the CD tray and power and reset buttons, and was meant only for parts or repair to begin with. Bought a second one right afterwards, which is also shown to come with Driver 2: The Wheelman is Back!

(On a side note, after having looked up that game on Wikipedia, I actually recall seeing footage of it at WalMart on July 26, 1999. How odd! I never really thought about it since then, and now I'm actually due to receive it.)

Needless to say, Mom really got pissed when I explained the situation, after she discovered the box the unit came in. Ordered me to put it right back on Ebay, since there were one or two other bidders for it. She did calm down with time, but still hammered it into me that I need to be more careful when shopping on Ebay, as well as the fact that we could have just bought a second unit at GameStop and spared ourselves this can of worms. According to her, the latter was even mentioned only two days ago, when we were discussing things with Brian, but that part must have gone over my head, as I only remembered him saying that they tend to sell for around $50 nowadays.

Anyway, my parents and I will be going to the gym not too long from now. When we get back, I'll be sure to put everything else on Ebay that I've been meaning to sell for the past few months now.
