Beat Earthbound last night, and once again, invited Mom to see the ending.
In 1996, it took me three months to beat the game, because I started over a few times (at least several of which I had made it to Magicant, but couldn't beat Ness's Nightmare). In 2003, it took me only two weeks (twelve days). Didn't play the game at all on Halloween that year, because Brian had all his friends over, and things just felt too tense for me to bother playing. This time around, even though I'm not even in school anymore, it had taken a day longer due to Hurricane Sandy (along with one more day's worth of yardwork I did even after we got the power back). Didn't play last Tuesday either, because I had this warm feeling after typing my blog entry for that day, and felt like going over it in my head for hours on end.
