Mar. 26th, 2013 07:16 amTook care of this coming April's MyCokeRewards session a week early yesterday. Interesting me for this session were sweepstakes for a $1000 VISA gift card (1 point per entry), a $7500 VISA card (3 points), and a $5000 BestBuy card (which will be ending next Sunday, coincidentally the last of the month; 3 points). Given the numbers I rolled, I would have normally spent just a total of 7 points this session, one on the $1000 VISA and the other six on the $7500 VISA. However, this time, I spent 18 more points towards the BestBuy card, and the remaining two towards the $1000 VISA.
(Since I already completed April's session this year, whatever points I accumulate between now and the 31st will count towards May's session or later.)
For the record, I'm not actually in any hurry to get a new computer tower. That can probably wait until it's time to play Rosenkreuzstilette (after I complete as much of the Mega Man series as I intend to play), and this page might just have the answers on how to make full use of emulators on Macintosh OS X. However, if I win a large amount of money, be it on MyCokeRewards or from the lottery, and especially if it's a BestBuy card, a new hard drive will probably be one of the first things I invest it towards.

Finished reading Culture Shock! Japan yesterday.
At this point, I could say that my drive for writing has kinda worn off. At Chelle's advice, I spent a whole week not too long ago writing the final chapter for Starbound, just in advance for when I actually cross that bridge. I showed it to her for critique, and while she did comment on some footnotes that I provided her, she still has yet to say anything about the chapter itself. I assumed she'd get around to that very shortly afterwards, although she did tell me that she at least got started so far.
That, by the way, is exactly what finally cued me into reading CSJ, something which I had been neglecting until then, so I'd say it's not necessarily a bad thing. She does seem to be on a good roll with one of a few pics I've commissioned her for, so I won't hold anything against her.
Given the circumstances right now, though, I think I might just settle down and play Knuckles Chaotix for a bit (assuming anything in the aforementioned hyperlink works, or else something else), and then finally get back to Kanji in Context. If Chelle shows me something while I'm in the middle of a self-assigned set of lessons (which I probably will be), I'll definitely look over it and probably make any changes she suggests, but it will probably be a while before I come back to any serious writing (probably after I finish Unit IV of KiC).
