Jan. 12th, 2014 06:00 amSo far, even after linking to that thread from both DeviantArt and Lucky Star Shrine Forum, I haven't had any luck recruiting anyone. Several people on the latter site even said that they'd be interested in contributing lines if I didn't ask that the voices sound exactly like in the English dub (which, I should note, I was expecting would be accomplished digitally).
Spoke with Jake, Mom, Brian, and Marie last night about the lack of action I've been getting. Mom says that, sometimes, the right people just aren't in the right place at the right time, and I just need to give them some time to come around. Brian says that Talia, who once sang something and had her recording modified to sound like an opera singer, only had that done by a studio. He also says that I'm putting the cart before the horse by asking for stuff like this before I'm actually ready to work with it. And Marie, on her part, has asked why I don't simply say the lines myself, to be modified later to sound like the characters they belong to.
In answer to that, not only do I lack any kind of equipment to carry it out (as does Chelle when I asked her the other day), but to be honest, there are some things I'd find awkward to say myself, would rather not hear from anyone in my family either, and even outside my family, would only like to hear from a female. For example, anything about stinks is out of the question for me. Nor could I possibly bring myself to say "How do you do", something which Miyuki is currently planned to say during the beginning of Starbound's next chapter; while it does/would sound cute from her or other appropriate enough characters such as Rokuna or Ayano, for me, it would just feel rather contrived.
In any case, if I recall correctly, Marie did tell me that Jacob is capable of doing what I'd like done. If that's the case, then hopefully, it'll just be a matter of talking to him through email and linking him to several different lines for each character before he gets started once she sets the two of us up.
