Jul. 10th, 2014 01:42 amJake will be glad to know that, at this point, I've actually pretty much had it with Lucky Star. Everything about the fandom and franchise is reminding me of that one fanfic, and last night is more or less the last straw thanks to its author pretty much telling me to fuck off about my questions about the story's future and certain critiques that I've left as reviews (in which some information is erroneous, as is in yesterday's post; Minoru actually was physically threatened and harmed, but Yutaka and Minami aren't likely to simply be warned off, for obvious reasons I've already stated.)
Okay. So, maybe I did come off as rubbing something in his face that he obviously doesn't care about by going into detail as to the events separating summer vacation from the schoolyear interlude. THAT, however, is a blatant brain-dumper, and not some rationalization as to why the story's events cannot conceivably take place. I once came across something aiming for the same lighthearted tone as the source material, titled Luckier Star, and in a blatant attempt to keep the girls in the same high school, the author had all colleges would be shutting down "in an attempt to save money"; needless to say, I refused to read any further of it.
Chelle also once brought something up regarding Monster Collection Chronicles, that the idea of merging worlds into one was not only a product of Mon Colle Knights' shitass English dub but would never work in and of itself (and why it wouldn't), going as far to say that she was in no mood to argue if I insisted on keeping that aspect for certain plot-related reasons.
I can understand the author not wanting to spoil things due to his fondness of plot twists. However, the reason I share everything I write (except for Parasitic Trio, for obvious reasons) with her to critique, is specifically to maintain Willing Suspension of Disbelief, and I would very much prefer not to read something where the author just didn't care about credibility. Hours before Blood got back to me, I shared with Chelle how supposedly poorly written and planned out Cries Unheard is. Considering how many fewer problems I noticed when I was reading Ancient Ways, Ancient Evils than Chelle did after I shared it with her, I asked if she'd be interested in seeing how well or poorly written Bonds is; I did revoke that just shortly before Blood got back to me, but right now, I'm thinking maybe that would be a good idea after all. (Same with Broken Dreams, which also only contains a few passive references to sex itself as far as innuendos go.)
I don't blame him for getting annoyed with me at this point like Jake had twice already regarding Earthbound, but at the same time, I've been pretty much thinking "Fuck you, blood; just do whatever you want, because I'm basically done reading this." (I didn't actually say that to him, or anything for that matter, especially since the obvious thing to do right now would be just to back off already.)

With that, I've gone as far as to remove both the LS fanfic archive and the forum from my bookmarks, store all related pics into their own sub-folder in my pictures folder, and take down that picture that I got for Christmas. Nanashi-no has finished that picture I commissioned her for, I did get Chelle to critique my second draft of the first sumo chapter, and I'm just waiting for three more related sketches from agataylor. Given how little I would like to deal with the fandom and franchise, though, I have lost all intention to host any of that for until I decide to come back to it. (And when I do, I'm hoping that Cries Unheard is complete and buried deep enough that I don't notice it right away. I might take to it and skip to the ending anyway, since I'm still obviously gonna remember it like I still remember No Birds, No Bees.)

As far as my fetishes go, I'm obviously gonna need some different girls to fantasize about. ( Too much information; feel like mentioning anyway. )
