I just can't help myself...

A few more chapters have been added to Cries Unheard ever since I read 8 the other week. The author advised me to skip 9, since that's all about how Konata is abused. Skipped 10 for the same reason being obvious. 11 is titled "Divided", and said title was all I read of that.
Before I continue, let me mention that, along with the boys' actual slaughters and whatever fate awaits Kai, I am also particularly interested in seeing the actual mechanics behind Yutaka and Minami's respective situations, mainly whether the boys intend to actually break them down or simply warn them out of ratting them out (or kill them altogether).
Anyway, chapter 12 does involve Minami, but not any actual abuse upon her. I also accidentally read the very end of the chapter, which reveals ( spoilers )
And, chapter 13, uploaded two days ago, is another prologue chapter which begins with Kagami specifying Misao (along with Konata and Miyuki) having been subject to the unthinkable. I give that one line a read, next thing I know, I can't stop myself from reading the entire chapter. ( spoilers involving rape )
This time, though, I'm not in so much shock as I was after having read 8, but still having to wait to see what happens to Kai for everything he's orchestrated did make me antsy enough that I could barely fall asleep that night and even started turning my computer on every hour halfway in just for brief message-checks before shutting it back off each time. I had been still wondering yesterday if it was still only the main four or others as well who would be receiving constant abuse, as opposed to just a warning bout like Minoru had already suffered.

Yesterday morning, I told Mom how achy my body felt from sleep deprivation when she woke me up for the gym. While I spoke to her some more about the fic and how hard it is to avoid when it's only a few keystrokes and mouse-clicks away from Google, she said that doing so is only a matter of exercising better self-control.
Later on, I asked Mom about how she feels when she and Dad watch an ongoing series that involves anyone who does all kinds of despicable things. She named Breaking Bad, one show of which they kept up with the initial broadcast of each season, as her example. However, now that we have Roku, they now have the option to find other stuff to watch while waiting for a whole season or series to become available. What I'm going through is some sort of binge, but when bloodscorpion4ever begins his next story, I'll be sure to refrain from reading it until it's actually complete.

Oh, and about that time issue, I suppose I might as well pretend that things all started not when the girls graduated from high school, but right before summer break during their first semester in college. Or, maybe they did meet Satoshi and his friends early on, but they still needed time to plot things out before actually carrying it out during summer break when there would be no schoolwork to keep up with.
Furthermore, I do intend to modify I Was Kagami Hiiragi wherever it's called for, since I'm the one in control of that story now.

On the plus side, I have managed to write half of both the second chapter of the sumo fic and chapter 5 of Starbound. Also started reading a much lighter, also ongoing fic titled Coinciding Moments in order to balance things out.
