Aug. 19th, 2014 07:33 amIt's already obvious so far that I need a break from writing altogether.
I think the reason I'm bored with Lucky Star already is because, aside from the Earthbound trilogy, it's been the only fandom that I find myself talking so passionately about on this blog (as well as with two other people who don't even care much for it). I even remember writing about how I also felt this way late last November. At that time, I thought of writing a giantess fic of Kanon or A Little Snow Fairy Sugar, and even with ideas of stuff to make happen, I found myself unable to actually write any part of either. Just yesterday, I got Chelle's permission to discuss a potential Popotan fic with her (I made sure to mention first that it won't be nearly so perverted as the show itself), and even though she gave me ideas for what Daichi and Asuka could do together at a river (the ones the mains swam in for one scene in the first episode), I don't have good faith that I'll be able to write in much detail about any of them.
Really, there's a difference between simply liking something and feeling actively passionate about it. I like stuff like Kanon, Popotan, Azumanga Daioh, A Little Snow Fairy Sugar, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Kill Me Baby, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Getter Love!!, Makeruna! Makendou, Mega Man, and Mon Colle Knights, but even that last one isn't something I talk about with nearly the frequency of Lucky Star. Chelle, on the other hand, reblogs all kinds of stuff onto Tumblr about MCK, Avatar, Princess Tutu, Madoka Magica, Alien vs Predator, Disney, and so on. And Jake, on his part, talks relatively frequently (at least whenever he updates his own blog, which isn't that often) about Pokemon, Love Hina, Nichijou, Kamen Rider, and Ed Edd 'n' Eddy, among other things.
With me, 99% of the time, it's all about Lucky Star.
I even read the very first review for No Reason when it was first uploaded, under which Darwise said how little a surprise it was that bloodscorpion4ever had switched to Azumanga after having already done LS to death.
Obviously, this kind of passion I have for Lucky Star stems from when I conceived Starbound around Thanksgiving of 2011, followed by when I actually got ideas of how to start it off a year later. Even before the fic's conception, I was always interested in seeing the longer-haired girls with their hair done up into beehives ever since that became a fetish of mine, and had even commissioned for at least one such fic (which turned out rather cheap and poorly-written). Other than that, though, most of my passion was towards the events I once planned Monster Collection Chronicles (not even its source material, Mon Colle Knights, itself), most of which would end up scrapped upon discussion with Chelle, only a few months before I actively focused on Starbound instead. (Like I said, not a coincidence.)
Well, all I can do really, is wait until either my muse returns or Chelle completes a new potential outline for me regarding Cult. In the meantime, though, Mom has set me up to read The Grapes of Wrath and Dunkirk. These National Geographic magazines we get in the mail would also be a good use of my time, and maybe I'll also play a few games now and then.
