Mar. 31st, 2015 05:36 amMy condition has been fluctuating since later yesterday. I still feel better sometimes than other times.
Also, I can't seem to understand how I was able to work on Starbound: Birthday of Destiny without so much as wanting to play Candy Crush when we came down here for Thanksgiving more than a year ago, while that was far from the case with the lemon I promised Jake when I was in Boston just a few months ago. Managed to create some footnotes for the second draft of the sumo fic, but later allowed myself to play the damn game just to satisfy myself for the time being. Managed to clear a particularly hard level I've been stuck on in Candy Crush Soda, but dinner was all set at that point, and I didn't play any further because playing those games on my laptop just sucks. I only bothered because to play something else or read a chapter of Dewey would be like having some carrot sticks when I want a cookie. A reward to oneself is supposed to feel like one; substituting it for something inferior defeats the purpose by definition.
(If I recall correctly, Dad said something to someone (probably Grandma or Aunt Marie) that Mom suggested we spend a whole week here.)
If anything, though, I suppose it could be because writing Birthday of Destiny might have felt rewarding in and of itself (as did all five chapters I already wrote to date of the main story), while the sumo fic is just something I'm writing for fetish fulfillment, and the lemon is just something that Jake had asked me for. About the sumo fic, I'm not kidding. Starbound really does feel more rewarding, and I'm only writing Ryouou All Girls' Sumo Tournament because I want actual events in which to apply certain fetishistic ideas. (There might've been reasons why I couldn't commission for it, but I can't seem to remember offhand. Maybe something to do with an earlier LS fic that turned out poorly before I conceived Starbound, though.)
