Sep. 30th, 2015 05:04 amAfter some lengthy discussion about Kazumi's fic, Chelle has told me that I am likely on my own to come up with an outline. Won't go into detail about how the prospect of her writing one up came to be, although it did involve me linking her to the wiki's chapter summaries of the original Kazumi Magica, but she technically said that such a thing would be one of her timekillers, if anything. She hasn't actually answered me as to what she means by that, but I take it to mean that she'll get back to me with something on her own timing, if I don't come back to it myself first. (In comparison to that Starbound outline from a few years ago, she did tell me that I already had a setting in place for that, and that the timing was better for her.)
Well, the reason I've gotten tucked back into Parasitic Trio instead has been because Marie insisted I come up with something after having linked me to several things in an attempt to help me out with writing. I actually did check out one of several courses I saved on Skillshare, which instructs viewers to start off by writing the first chapter of their story and posting it online for critique. Technically, the latter half of that is something I do regularly (not online, but I do make sure to get feedback); the former is a different story. It took me a year after conceiving Starbound to come up with the plot of its first chapter, something I didn't even think so actively about during that time.
In this case, though, I'm glad I didn't simply default to Getter Love!!, even though I did recently spend some time with Chip-chan Kick for the first time in a few years. I thought the discussion Chelle and I have just had would've panned out more than it did.

Just found this YouTube series called Pokemon Theory last night. While a lot of theories that ProtoMario brings up are clearly jokes, I did watch these few in particular for the sake of Parasitic Trio:
Why Can't Fainted Pokemon Be Captured? (Too bad Ellen already did just that with a Rattata, although it's still early enough that that can be retconned like the anime did with being able to swap mons w/ just the Pokedex.)
Why Pokemon Attacks Don't Kill Humans (Might not actually apply to my story.)
How Do Pokemon Evolve By Trading? (Good points, although I might have certain mons that evolve this way evolve differently, albeit involving the same items required in canon.)
Also, while I have it on mind, I should mention that I originally wasn't going to accept Fairy as a type. It was introduced only as an egg group in Gen II, the same generation that introduced Dark and Metal and the only one to introduce new types before it. However, I've come to realize how much sense it probably did make by this point as a counter-type to Dragon. Originally, Dragon was meant to be essentially the supreme type, which is why it only applied to a line of regular Pokemon that appears only before Mewtwo (and the original Mew, if you count her) in the Kanto Pokedex. However, it was only in Gen III that other, more mundane Dragon-type mons started to emerge, and it would be understandable if someone at GameFreak caught on regarding how overpowered they'd be despite their status as regular Pokemon.
In any case, it was still Gen IV when I first conceived the ficseries, and V when I actually got started with it. Since the story still has yet to get anywhere, I think I will accept it, also as a counter-type to Ghost. Light would still be a related type to it, just like how Dark is related to Ghost, but to keep the number of types rounded off, I might do away with Normal as a type and interpret anything formerly under it to have no real attributes to speak of. (It helps that Normal-type moves were never that strong against any type in particular to begin with.)
